Pioneer DCS 100 versus LG DA 3520
Anyone out there in DVD land have any experience of the Pioneer DCS 100 and/or the LG DA 3520. I need a one box cinema solution with a budget of around the £350 mark and these two seem to be the best contenders.

RE: Pioneer DCS 100 versus LG DA 3520
I have the LG DA 3520, and it`s fairly good (bought it at £450 tho) it`s region hackable and can play VCDs (haven`t tried tho) you can`t disable macrovision. The sound quality is very good and the amp handles both DTS and DD, but the speakers aren`t that good and the conections often come loose. The sub woofer is poweful. I can`t, however manage to play my SKY picture thru it, only the sound so I have to constantly change the AVs on my telly.

RE: Pioneer DCS 100 versus LG DA 3520
I had an LG DA3520 for a short period of time on home trial, I still have the option to buy this but am still considering alternatives, which is why I would like a comparison between the LG and Pioneer DCS100
RE: Pioneer DCS 100 versus LG DA 3520
Sorry I cannot comment on the Pioneer but looking at the specs it does look a nice player. I have noticed that there seams a bit of confusion as to if it can output a PAL signal from a NTSC disk and this might be important to you. I have had a LG DA3520 for about 8 months and am very pleased with it, the sound quality is good and it has played all DVD`s that I have thrown at it, as well as VCD`s that I have made using Nero. You can switch between 2 other AV inputs but only using composite video but there is no digital audio input.
Hope this helps,
Steve..
Oh, none of my speaker leads have come loose.....yet :o)
