Toshiba SD210E (Silver Model) Layer change problems
Bought Toshiba SD210E (Silver Model) with Multi-region mod recently. The sound can go very quiet when the layer change occurs on a couple of DVD discs I have played, the answer has been different every time to bring the sound back to where it should be. Back track on picture, switch off and on etc. Any ideas why sound should drop off on layer change on such a highly rated player. The seller said I should look at my system receiver before returning it.
System is:
Toshiba SD210E (Silver Model)
- connected to T.V. via 21 pin scart (RGB)
- connected to Sherwood 925RDS via coaxil Digital cable on Dolby Digital

RE: Toshiba SD210E (Silver Model) Layer change problems
Must be easy enough to eliminate the player or amp as the problem ?
Unplug the amp and see if it still does it using the TV speakers.
If it does, ditch the amp.
Easy peasy.
I`ve never had a layer change sound problem on my 210. Most of the time I don`t even notice the layer change, visually or audibly. Sometimes you see a momentary pause in the picture, that`s all.
Mine isn`t multiregion though as I didn`t need it to be.
Cheers
