kiiro 838d and vcds on cdr
i know there`s alot of posts about this dvd player.
but what i really want to know, is will it play any vcd i thro in it,
especially on cheap cdrs.
what is the best price i can get one for and where???
Not tried cheap cdrs (I use memorex ones), but I would have thought vcds would be ok on any disc.
Price: Amazon.co.uk currently have it cheapest (i`ve seen) @ £129.99.

this player will even play DVD-R ,have tried tis with all cheap brands works well on all
RE: kiiro 838d and vcds on cdr
bought one now and at the mo it`s playing everything i`ve thrown in it,thats vcds on cheapo cdr, mp3`s on cheapo cdr, and even managed to back up region 1 dvd to video i think.
It plays almost everything. I have couple of CDs (burned) that won’t play on it and even cause an internal error of the machine, freezing it. I also have 2 or 3 DVDs (original) that this player sometimes won’t recognize, it tells me that there’s no disk in it.
Mine is 2 week old (new) and the menus are different from the ones explained in the manual. Has any1 the same? The sound is also a bit pour when playing it through the tv, it’s very low, compared with other devices I’ve got attached, even though it’s internal volume is at the max output.
Never the less I like some of its features. I have also a NS300 from Sony and could only dream of having all the kiiro’s toys.
Told you, you should have got a MICO. Plays EVERYTHING no problem.
Told you, you should have got a MICO. Plays EVERYTHING no problem. You can get `Ritek White` lable CDRs for £15.99 plus postage from http://www.121cdr.co.uk/ these play everything I have recorded on them, SVCDs, VCDS, MP3s & CDs. No coasters. All recorded at 16 times.
This is driving me insane i am getting dvds freezing on me original ones
Full Metal Jacket
Nightmare on Elm Street
Is there anyway you solved the freezing problem
Please Please help
Have you tried a lens cleaner? just a thought...
Regarding non-playing discs...... Take out the disc, turn off the machine and UNPLUG it. Go away, make a cup of tea (or whatever) and when you come back plug the machine back in again and it should be ok.
Just as an aside, try cleaning the disc. The player seems to be a bit pernickerty about dust specs on the surface of the disc. Often i`ll just have to wipe a disc that didn`t play first time and then... no problem.
