you don`t need to wait you can get a program called dvdx v1.
once loaded it will let your unchipped x box play dvds from any region as long as you have got the dvd controller.
kiiro 838d and standalone dvd recorders
has anybody had the same prob???
i have got 3 movies here that have been done using a satandalone dvd recorder, but when i try to play them they just stop after the blue front screen, they won`t go to the movie.
i put them in my ps2 and they work first time. it can`t be the media as these films are on 3 different types of media.
is there a compatibilty prob. between the kiiro and these standalone recorders???
can anybody spread any light on my query???

yes but why go to the expense of buying import originals, when there are loads of traders that you can get a backup off for approx.£8, and that`s games that are only just out in japan or usa.
i just got a copy of tekken 4 dvdr for £8.

the neo 4 might be harder to fit but at the mo is £20 cheaper and has the added bonuus of the multi region and macro vision free as well, which the messiah hasn`t and probably never will.
and the ironduke is right there is a neo chip available(shortly) for v5`s

i took my pacific 750 back and bought one of these.
i has played everything i have thrown in it.
it is multi and macro free straight out of the box,
and is even rumoured to play dvdr back ups of films, i ain`t tryed one yet.

bought one now and at the mo it`s playing everything i`ve thrown in it,thats vcds on cheapo cdr, mp3`s on cheapo cdr, and even managed to back up region 1 dvd to video i think.

i know there`s alot of posts about this dvd player.
but what i really want to know, is will it play any vcd i thro in it,
especially on cheap cdrs.

i`ve been using datasafe media 24x and some have been working good, but these newer films seem to be causing probs???

just had a couple of new vcds to watch on this dvd player but they seem to be stuttering, i`ve even recoded them and wrote them again at a slower speed.
is it the dvd player or is it the discs??
