Page 1 of Wharfedale 750S or Grundig 210A ???

Anyone have any opinions on which of these 2 players are the best ? Owners opinions of either machine would be helpful.

My main concerns are with R1 discs. I`d like to be able to play ALL R1 discs, including RCE without any problems. Are either of these players suitable ?

What about lip-synching problems, are either of these 2 known to have any problems with this ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I personally have a 210a and have had no probs at all with it. It plays jaws r2, tigger r1, and every other disc i`ve put in it no probs, and apparently it plays the patriot no probs as well, so go get a grundig.

I have a wharfedale 750 (not the s) and it works just fine...

Firmware 3be8... that`s version 2 to the others... Only a prob with jurassic... see my posting on the general forum


The picture and sound is sberb, esp the thx enhandced stuff...

No probs and Region 0,1,2 work fine...

OK, Wibble, but what about RCE?

How`s the layer change with the Grundig 210a?
Is it noticeable?

Also with the Grundig it doesnt play the special features disk thatcomes with Gladiator.

Apparently the only difference between the 210 and 210a is the 210a is gold. So the answer is yes. I think.
Get a Grundig i got mine from Currys for £149 because they had a massive stock of gold ones and could not shift them.

I can`t say but the new 750s doe snot play the jurassic park disc but does play the patriot and jaws.
