OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......

If you are thinking of buying a OneForAll 6 (model number URC7560), please be warned it does not control any of the Wharfedale 750 DVD range of players (even though it lists Wharfedale on the packaging). The remote has the ability to accept new codes either from the website or you can call them. Did both, then found out that they are having serious problems controlling this type of player.

Looks like I still need at least 2 remote controls by my side!!

Finally I did suggest that they should change their packaging as it states " GUARANTEED TO WORK", but surprise surprise no reply to that!!

Try the Cambridge Audio M1 from Richer Sounds £80

Well worth it. You use your exisiting remotes to make the M1 learn.

I`ve tried to get the One4All6 to work with my Lecson DVD900 with no joy. I did get it to learn a few functions, but the up/down/left/right was a bit flakey, like it hadn`t learnt all the code. It would work after pressing a button twice !

Gave up in the end. It worked well with TV/video/NTL.

I would like a new one, but £80 sounds a bit steep. Any other suggestions for replacements ?

Just a thought.....

Is having 2 remote controls that difficult for you??

My point is, why waste £40 in the first place?

I totally agree with Norman`s point. If I only had 2 remotes to use I certainly would not pay £40 for one. I`d rather buy approx. 4 more DVD`s.

I suppose it`s matter `finger on the button` - one unit !

Now how many do I have:-
1 - tv
2 - Video
3 - Sky DIGI Box
4 - Echostar remote Digital satelite receiver
5 - DVD
6 - Sony Amp.

What do I do ? Well I have a `ONE For ALL 5` that does basic functions of most units, but when I watching DVD`s that`s temporarily swapped for No. 5 and 6.

Oh, I`m so tired.......NOT !!! You get used to it.
