What`s Happened To Beyondhifi.com
Anybody know where www.beyondhifi.com have gone? I have purchased all of my leads from the for ages, went to order another cable this week and they seem to have gone.
Anyone got any ideas?
RE: Funny sounds from my Celestion S80 sub.... Any Ideas?
If you have an S80 and have your original reciept and it was purchased less than 5 years ago give them a call, they will fix it FOC. The noise is caused by 2 failing transisiters on the amp, you can get there number from the website. Even if it is out of the 5 year warranty it`s prpbably not an expensive repair.
Celestion offer a great service, mine was away for about a week.
Hope this helps.
RE: Hack for Samsung DW15G10 TV/DVD Combi Request
Did you ever find a hack for this unit? I am thinking of buying one but would only do so if it can be made multi-region. If you did let me know?
Thanks,
Funny sounds from my Celestion S80 sub.... Any Ideas?
I was wondering if anyone can help me before I go and spend some more money?
I have a Celstion S80 sub which has been woking perfectly up to now. When the unit is used it makes a sound that can only be described as wind noise, it is not noticeable when say a film for example has bangs and crashes in it, but once this has all stopped you can hear this noise. It also sometimes squeeks and then the wind noise returns.
I have tried adjusting the settings but to no avail. The noise is present whether it`s from a DVD, television, CD whatever input source.
My set up is 100% F-Series speakers, Sherwood amp with direct out for the sub.
any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Panasonic TUCTH100 - Any Good, does it support Top Up TV?
I am considering purchasing a replacement to my current digital box. I don`t want much just something that has a twin tuner, can record, has a co-ax digital out and can accept a Top Up TV card.
Does anyone know whether the Panasonic can do all of this?
Have now spoken to Top Up TV directly. such a beast does not currently exist. Must be a marketing opportunity for someone!!

RE: Panasonic DVD-LS5
You needed to buy this player as a multi region player in the first place, alternativeley you could get in touch with someone like www.multiregionmagic.co.uk who may be able to chip it for you.
Triskom AV Furniture - Has anyone purchased from them?
Just wondered if anyone has purchased anything from Triskom AV Furniture in Wembley? Alternatively does anyone have any other suggestions for online suppliers of AV cabinets?
Thanks.
RE: A.I. on Wharfdale DVD750 wont play
I have a 750 and it plays A.I (R2) fine.
Cambridge Audio M1+ and Wharfedale 750
Has anyone had any sucess in controlling a Wharfedale 750 with a Cambridge Audio M1? There £80.00 and I dont want to get one if it won`t control all of my kit!! Currently have a OneForAll 6 which refuses to control the player. Any advise would be useful......
RE: oneforall - yelo 800dvd & yamaha vs 10 - any codes?
Try the website, you can download it if it exists. www.oneforall-int.com. By the way it won`t control a Wharfedale 750 either!!
RE: Cambridge Audio M1+ and Wharfedale 750s
Did you ever get this working with your Wharfedale 750? Any info would be useful as I have a OneForAll that has the same problem and was wondering if the M1 would work?
RE: LCD Remotes
cant seem to find this on the Empire Direct website, are you sure?
RE: OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
So you try and give some commercial advise about a product that doesn`t do what it says on the box, hoping that in some small way you can save people the time, effort and cost!!
Maybe next time I won`t bother! I thought one of the reasons for the forums was to share information, obviuosly I got that wrong as well.
Please close the thread as there doesn`t seem to be any useful help coming through.
RE: OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
Will this control my Wharfedale 750?
RE: OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
Your point has no point? If you have something constructive to say then lets hear it!!
RE: OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
It is when I spent £40.00 to get rid of them........!!!!!!!!!!!...............
OneForAll 6 - Guaranteed to Work - I Don`t think so......
If you are thinking of buying a OneForAll 6 (model number URC7560), please be warned it does not control any of the Wharfedale 750 DVD range of players (even though it lists Wharfedale on the packaging). The remote has the ability to accept new codes either from the website or you can call them. Did both, then found out that they are having serious problems controlling this type of player.
Looks like I still need at least 2 remote controls by my side!!
Finally I did suggest that they should change their packaging as it states " GUARANTEED TO WORK", but surprise surprise no reply to that!!
RE: Beyondhifi.com - Delivery Times!!
If they advertise 24 hour dispatch then that it what you should get, it`s all about service you know, if you read the delivery part of their website it states 3 day delivery, not 5,6 or 7!!
Postage from Northern Ireland is classed as mainland post, so no excuse there then!!
Maybe they should just change there expected delivery times to be more realistic, that way they would set expectations at a level that they could meet!!
PS Still waiting...............
Beyondhifi.com - Delivery Times!!
Has anyone experienced extended delivery times with Beyondhifi.com? Ordered goods on the 15th and 16th January, still nothing, called today, phone rang for 10 minutes, called the number on the website, answering service, e-mailed them no reply!! I can see from some of the earlier comments that this is a really good site, based on these comments I ordered nearly £150.00 worth of interconnects. Come on guys get your finger out!!
RE: Gamecube
I think the gamecube is due for release some time in the Spring, shortly after the Xbox from Microsoft.
RE: Playing music on a Wharfedale 750 through a Sherwood Amp
1. The model of amp is the Sherwood 6106R
2. The room is approx 22 x 12 ft (L x W)
3. Centre Celestion 35, left & right are B&W LM1`s, rears are Kef S60`s and the sub is a Celestion 80.
4. Cambridge
5. The sound seems to be rather `tinnie` if you know what I mean, it seems to lack any real bass even in stereo mode.
Thanks
Playing music on a Wharfedale 750 through a Sherwood Amp
I am trying to improve the sound through my Wharfedale 750. I have the two units connected via a coax digital connection and a standard phono connection (I have tried swapping from digital to analogue but to no avail!!), neither seem to offer the type of sound you would expect. I have also noticed that the sub does not seem to get used when listening to music, is this correct?
Any help would be useful.
RE: Connecting 4 ohm speakers to an 8 ohm rated amp
Thanks for this, I have got the speakers set to small on the amp. I too was a bit concerned about the advice, that`s why I thought I would ask someone else.
Connecting 4 ohm speakers to an 8 ohm rated amp
I was wondering if anyone can help me? I have just purchased a Sherwood RD6106 amp along with a Celestion sub and centre. I have attached this to 2 B&W speakers (8 ohms) and 2 Kef S60`s (4 ohms), when I purchased the equipment from Richer Sounds he assured me that all of this kit would be fine. However I did at the time point out that the rears (S60`s) were only 4 ohms ( the amp is rated for 8 ohms). Cam amyone tell me what, if any damage I may do to either tha amp or the speakers?
RE: Wharfedale 750 freezing on R1 disks
It seems I have figured it out!! It`s wear on the drive. When the laser reaches the outer limit of the disk eg Chapter 13 / 14 of The Mummy Returns, there is a toothed part of the drive which has worn so that when the laser is at this position it jumps off of the main drive wheel, it is only by luck if it continues to play the disk. It`s strange though that on R2 the probem did not seem so bad, that bit I don`t understand. I don`t know if this is a common fault on the drive? My machine is only 18 months old but it does get alot of playing (2 - 3 hours per day). For now a small piece of card carfully positioned has resolved the problem.
Wharfedale 750 freezing on R1 disks
I was wondering if anyone else experiences the above? About half way through any R1 disk the drive makes a strange sound and then freezes, you can move the disk onto the next chapter but sometimes this can take a minute or so. I thought it was just the recent disks I have purchased but it seems to be happening on older R1 disks as well. This freezing does not happen on R2. Any ideas?
Rugrats in Paris - Wharfedale 750
Has anyone had any luck with the Region 1 version of this disk. My Wharfedale is a second generation machine and it refuses to play it!! My kids are devistated.
I have returned the disk to play247 who refunded the money saying that the disk was not compatible with the player.
Any help?
