i am a 505 owner and i also can honestly say i have not seen any jaggies really this is an unbiased opinion when a players crap ill say so i do have my own gripes with picture quality but it does not include jaggies at this point i can not say for sure if the player or some other factor is to blame ie:tv scart lead although i am trying to determine for certain where my problem lies.i did at one point own a pioneer 525 and i am certainly not saying they are crap but i only kept it for 3 days i have had my 505 for sevral weeks and fully intend to keep it 505s suit some but not others the same can be said for any brand dvd player but overall the Hitachi 505 ROCKS BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Daz if you read between the lines his two identical posts are not really to inform people of the terrible Hitachi?

yes dukey reading between the lines i wiuld say he was having a pop but dis hitachi an you dis me ive had hitachi tvs for years an my genral experience is that they cant be knocked and im talking the last 15yrs or so the last 25"nicam i had just would not give me an excuse to go out an buy a new one it just would not break down.

it took the purchase of a dvd player before i finally persuaded my lady we had to have a wide screen.yes i read your thread i am on o123 checked after reading one of your previous posts as for 0124 please let me know if anything intresting happens here i wait with baited breath.

The 0124 is R2, I have no idea what version the firmware claiming to be multiregion is?

I have informed a few people who emailed me a while back about multiregion so I may here if it works and what version it is soon.
