TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
OK. No p***ing yourself laughing at the back but is there such a thing?
Reason is I`m still in Canada for a few more months and would like to make use of the cheapness out here before I come back.
RE: TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
heh
most UK tv`s support PAL & NTSC
i`m not sure about the other way around.....what about the voltage difference?
you *might* need a step down converter or similar?
Ste.
........is that gasoline i smell?
RE: TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
The vast majority of north American TVs do not support PAL.
Line voltage there is 110/120 volts, 60 Hz (versus Europe`s 220/230 volts, 50 Hz)

Thank you.
Vast majority or all?
RE: TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
When I was in Canada with the Army, I bought a 29" flat screen Multi System from the Canadian cannex. It works perfectly well both in UK and Germany, although there is a slight problem with no scart sockets.
RE: TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
Is that the cannex in suffield? If it is, I live 200 metres away.
RE: TV that recognizes both PAL & NTSC?
Yep Thats the 1. I used to live quite near the new Cannex. Rawalpindi Place. 2001-2003 (BATUS Workshop). In sunny Gutersloh now. The only slight problem I had, that I couldn`t find an answer to, was that my Sky system when plugged into 1 of the RGB connections the colours used to flicker slightly, I then used the other RGB connection and that cured the problem.
