Cheaper DVD recorder with HDMI output?
Hello all
My first post here so humbly forgive my ignorance and inferior knowledge please! I am on the look out for a cheapish (around £100) DVD recorder and am surprised to see that all DVD recorders around this mark and below do not have HDMI output? I find this quite strange being as most DVD players now, even the cheapest, seem to have HDMI output and having recently bought a 32" LCD television I would like tp get the best out of it I can, especially from my DVD`s which I often watch rather than TV/Sky and would like to hook up with HDMI. ANy idea`s of the cheapest kind of DVD recorders with HDMI output or am I not looking in the right places?
Cheers all,

RE: Cheaper DVD recorder with HDMI output?
You could try this at Argos for £99.99
Liteon DD-A500GX , HDMI output , DVD+RW and DVD-RW recording , DivX playback and 5.1 output. No experience of it personally , but it seems a pretty good spec for the price.
Hi...
I purchased this recorder 2 weeks ago & is an excellent buy.
Easily hackable too for multiregion :)
Hope this helps.
Mark :)
RE: Cheaper DVD recorder with HDMI output?
Although Liteons can be unreliable and suffer problems, they all come with a 2 year warranty (unlike other DVD Recorders) and the after sales service is superb.
That means that if you buy this DVD Recorder for just under £100, you are guaranteed to still be using it in 2 years time, and any repairs that were required would have been free of charge.
I have an older model of Liteon and since first buying it in March 2005, have had 2 replacements (extending the guarantee until October 2007) and 3 repairs all for nothing, so it is still going strong.
