I know this question hasbeen posed before but i am very new to DVD world. Have bought a Scan sc2000 and need to know a good budget setup for DTS. am looking at about £300 for everythiong for now til i move and then i will upgrade. Any help much appreciated
Andy,
Have you thought about the Sony HTK215 (includes DTS)??
I`ve seen it in most High Street retailers for £350 - but available on the net for as little as £260!!
Dave
VideoLogic Digi-theatre DTS. It`s available now for around £300 if you look hard. I personally thought it sounded better than the Sony and some other all-in-one systems.
It really sounds fantastic.
Good luck!
Also have a look at the Yamaha VS10 - see Westy`s review at http://www.area450.com/homecinema/startersystem.htm

RE: advice on a sound system
Hi Andy,
Like you I have a Scan-SC2000. I have just received my Yamaha VS-10 system (£299 from http://www.leconcepts.com/) on the basis of a recommendation of someone at http://www.dvdforums.com/
It does 5.1 and DTS and has additional inputs for my VCR, TV, Ondigital box and/or PS2 (if I had one).
RE: advice on a sound system
Looks like that the 1 for me then thanx very much for your advice

I was trolling about on this forum a couple of months ago, asking the same question......
I eventually went for the YAMAHA VS-10, It`s a very nice piece of equipment indeed, get it now!
:)
PS- I was looking at the Videologic too, but was put off by the build quality (very plastic`ky and light in comparisson to the VS-10)
The SONY HTK was also in the running but no-one was forthcoming with any reviews or good opinions of it. In the end, the £50 cheaper VS-10 was the one for me.
