Modified Toshiba SD210E - which is best?

robwinder (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 2nd November 2001, 15:12

I am aware that you can purchase a Toshiba SD210e with the region coding and the macrovision disabled from both www.techtronics.com and www.dvdmagic.net.
I was wondering if anyone had good or bad things to say about these modified machines and the suppliers.
Or are there better suppliers of a modified Toshiba SD210e?

What does Macrovision disabled mean?

Macrovision disabled means that you can record from your dvd player onto vhs without the picture flicking up and down or going light and dark.

I have posted about multiregionmagic before, use the search facility, good company and good service, never needed to use their after sales service however.

I agree multiregionmagic is your best bet, many people have posted good reviews about them.

I would suggest you don`t use techtrinics, a lot of people have had problems there.

I ordered the 210 from tecktronics over 3 weeks ago, and it arrived YESTERDAY! To top it all it didn`t work and they say they have to wait a week for the couriers to respond, and then.....

I`m now shopping around for another supplier!

The choice is yours!
