Page 1 of SONY HTK-475 HOME THEATRE KIT SILVER

Can anyone tell me if this set up is actually any good, Im not looking to spend fortunes so is it a good entry level buy ? I was looking at a kenwood amp (5050) possibly paired to some eltax satellite speakers but this amp seemed not as well built as the sony. Whatever i buy has to be silver to match my tv/dvd which restricts me a bit i know. Any ideas on what is a good inexpensive set up for dolby digital/dts ? Would also like to use it to play my music on as well.

I`m interested in this system myself, but it seems no one else has one to answer if its any good! :(

Wouldnt hesitate in recommending this one, got it about 3 months ago and havent got a bad word to say about it.
The satellite speakers are small but powerful, and I`ve run some movies as loud as I can bear them with no sign of distortion, the active sub is more than meaty enough and gives a lovely low end noise. The amp is easy to use, well made and looks good with all remote options available to control from the front of the amp. The remote is a little over-complicated but easy enough once you get the hang of what`s what. The setup takes no time at all and is easy to mess on with until you`re happy. The amp auto detects any inputs giving priority to digital signals, so buy an optical (TOS) link so your DVD overrides the TV sound, otherwise you`ll probably have to switch manually. The whole thing looks the dog`s balearics and sounds great-for the money it`s as good as I`ve found. Hope that helps:)

Yeah, thats great mate! Thanks! Just another thing... what cables do u get supplied (length etc) as my lounge is a bit of an odd shape...
