Have you got your Wharfy set to 4:3 Pan`n`scan instead of 4:3 Letterbox?

I think we`re assuming a `normal` rather than a widescreen telly here. If you have a normal (that`s 4:3 in technoboffin terms) you`d need to tell your DVD player that you`ve got that type of telly. It is then best to go for `Letterbox` rather than `Pan & Scan` - the latter is what you get on terrestrial telly where they chop the ends off (hence the inability for full text on the titles of Nutty Prof) to enable the picture to fill the screen.

If you go for the `letterbox` it might look weirdo but at least you`ll get the full picture, ie without the sides chopped off. You just get the irritating black bars.

My advice, rent yourself a widescreen telly from the Co-op or Martin Dawes (avoid Granada/Radio Rentals or, more correctly boxclever - they are united now) - should be able to get a good deal this time of the year.

Hope this helps, er, Pubs (?)
