Hi Gud,

Excellent value by the sounds of it!

Go here http://www.area450.co.uk/widescreen_wonders.htm#bushws7671
to see a review of the 32" model. Most Bush and Alba share the same innards. Hope this is of some use.

All the best

How do these set compare with the wharfedales or matsui?

Hi again,

Pretty much identical bar a few feature differences. For a widescreen set on the cheap-you could do a lot worse.

Do they do auto format change (or what ever it is called - flip between 4:3 and 16:9 automatically when receiving TV signal)

I used to think widescreen was widescreen, but after seeing my mates Wharfedale, and my brothers something-or-other-from-comet I`m not so sure of cheap widescreen TV`s any more. They both were around the £280 mark. Compared with my Hitachi ( around £450 ) the widescreen picture is definitely ` funny `. Nothing wrong with the quality of the picture you understand. It must be something to do with the aspect ratio. Both their SKY systems are set to 16:9, and so are their TV`s, but compared to my TV both their SKY pictures are definitely ` squashed ` looking.
I suppose you get what you pay for, but I personally think it`s worth spending the extra on a TV with an ` auto/panaromic/16:9 ` option.
www.comet.uk are doing on line auctions of ` managers specials ` and they`ve got a Sony 28" widescreen with a current bid of only £240.
It`s just an example of how you can get better for the same money.

This might help!
Only a few of the channels on Sky are in widescreen, like BBC1and 2, Channel 4, BBC Choice, E4, Sky Premier Widescreen. Sky Sports 1,2 and 3 and a couple of others.
But still, not all programmes on these channels are in 16:9 (Widescreen).
