I am on the verge of buying the above speakers, has anyone out there got a pair of these? Any good or bad points, etc.

Most important of all the cheapest place I can purchase them from?

Tah.

I`ve had my M74s (£230) for about 3 weeks now - together with M7C1 (£79) and M7DS (£129). The cheapest place I found them was hifijunkies.co.uk - and they`ve got free delivery and an extended (5 yr) guarantee. Highly recommended. Richers had them listed cheaper for a few weeks (MUCH cheaper), but I think they`d mispriced them, `cos they`re currently at £269.

The speakers themselves are outstanding. OK, it`s not a real wood veneer, but it looks good and I`d rather the money went into the engineering than the surface coating. I`ve got them biwired with QED silver anniversary (Yamaha RX-V620RDS source). Quite awesome sound and much greater (and tighter) bass extension than my old speakers (ancient Wharfedale Glendales), which had larger cabinets and 10" bass drivers! Just goes to show what good design can achieve. I reckon I can live without a sub (of course Christmas is coming ...)

Thanks. Going to see if Richersounds can match that.
