RE: why can`t i get an rf signal from my dvd recorder
you cant connect a dvd recorder that way the rf is only for the recorder to recieve tv channels it does not output them like the digibox if you wont to use your recorder in your bedroom and use sky with it this is what you will have to do
scart your dvd recorder to your bedroom tv rf the recorder to your bedroom tv now with coaxaial from your skylink i.e rf 2 on digibox input into the ariel of your recorder switch on your tv to the auxillery channel you should see your recorder`s menu select the tuner you should now have sky and your terrestial channels as well (if your sky box has been rf to wall) using a coaxial cable in rf1 on digibox .
hope this helps this is my setup at home as my mum dosent have a clue how to use a recorder. so leaving the dvd player connected in the family room for her to use makes things a little easier and so i can watch sky occasionaly if she is watching a dvd
the memory of you blooms like a flower in the garden of my heart

AFAIK only Panasonic dvd recorders have an RF output for sending signals to a tv or extender.

I might be wrong, but I think my JVC has an RF Out, but it is only for passthru, no signal from the player itself.

All recorders have passthrough
