Asking everyone that has it or has tried it.

Just wondering since ive had a Hollywood Pc decoder and now the scan DVD player, just wondering u get these 250--300 and 500 quid dvd players, surely the picture quality cant be improved anymore?

Anyhow do u think the Scan players picture quality is good or crap?

Two of my friends compared theirs, a scan and a pioneer535 (both about £160).
The pioneer seeemed to blow the scan away for pic quality, obviously others may have had different results.

I can only really compare picture quality with PC DVD players I have seen as I don`t know many people with DVD players. Those that have them are on DVD-Rom drives in PC`s. The Scan seems much better than both of these. With the latest firmware it`s easily in the top 5 quality pictures on budget players.
The Scan`s firmware is updated so often. Sometimes as much as once a month and there`s usually manys leaps and bound with each firmware. In fact the latest one to come out (un-official) improves picture quality, supports long file names for mp3`s (beta) and is also video-friendly (MACROVISION disabled).

Pretty nifty eh?
