Help me make my mind up

Help, Im trying to get a cheap Multiregion dvd player for a birthday present.. I am looking at the following ones and don`t know which one to choose.
It needs to be easy to Multiregion hack and be good picture quality

Alba DVD103 - £129
Samsung 511 £??
Matsui DVD122 £128
Proline DVD2000 £128
Bush DVD2009 £119

Please help i need to choose before Friday !!!

Easy - Samsung is the one to go for. It`s the only one of those you mention that I know is good quality, whereas brands like Matsui, Bush, Alba and Proline tend to set off my crapness alarm whenever I come across them.

If i was to get the Samsung where is the cheapest main high street shop that sells it ?. Couldn`t see it in Comet or Dixons today

Or you could consider the Cyberhome 512 from richer sounds for £120.
You will need access to a CD Writer to apply the multiregion and macrovison hack - its a doddle.
I remember it getting a pretty good write up in a Hifi/DVD mag a few months back. Dont know what the DVD purists on this site think of it though...
Richer do a pretty good 3 yr warranty for £20 - if you are interested in that sort of thing - money back if no claims made.

sod that lot.. if u can get one get the minato G1 from tescos... its basicly a brill machine for the money m8.. multi region .. beats RCE.. plays VCD,CDR,CDRW,and MP3,, and just got awarded best buy in new WHAT! sound and vision mag.. stuffed the bush it was up against.. :0),, u cant go wrong for 109 quid.. plus tescos got the best returns policy in the universe..lol
