I have 36in panasonic w/s tv which sometimes has two lighter stripes about 6 to 8 inches from the sides of the screen does anyone know what this is

What you describe sounds like a problem with the tube of the telly. Is it by chance a 36PF10?cause my mate had the same problem with his.

I have got a panasonic 36PF10, It has got a stripe that runs up the left side of the screen, visible only in certain brightness of the programmes. I suspected that it was a reception problem as I dont recall seeing it on DVD`s. Now that the guy that replied said it might be a tube problem I am a bit p***ed off.
