Any all in one systems with built in DVD recorders?

lees (Competent) posted this on Friday, 7th January 2005, 19:06

Guys.......as subject really!
Friend is looking for an all in one system to save space that will go with his new Panasonic Plasma 37" PW7. He said he`s looked for reviews & can`t find any.....any ideas?
He wanted originally to have a seperate DVD recorder & then amp/speaker combo but the space available won`t allow it....... :D

Panasonic sell one with the E55 in it, at £599 :o

But....it is two seperate units! Amp + standard e55 in one box, but the amp is similar sized to the casing of the E55. Might still be worth looking at, but with the recent revelations regarding disc formats from Panny, I`d say hold off a bit ;)

(sorry to disappoint you but the money from my TAX FREE!!! bounty from the TA will be buying it)... just want something that will do me for the next 5 years without it being completely outdated, and all the Panny stuff i have already without any problems mean i will stay loyal to the brand!

Oh yes and i have points on my licence to!

Thanks Jimbo, have passed on this advice.
How long before the "newer" models come out & do you think Panasonic will produce an all in one system including these new dvd recorders?

Think there`s actually an LG or summat DVDR HTK (for future ref thats DVD Recorder Home Theatre Kit ;) )

The new pannys....gawd knows, but if they`ve stated the model specs as they have, stated + or RW support going in, they know people will hold off to buy the new one, so I`d estimate pretty quick.

BTW, for your mate....he does realise there`s a lot of amps out there now similar to that Panny one? Slim and DVD player sized (almost) that can sit under the telly but give the benefits of a seperate amp?

Personally, I`ve never liked HTK`s....prefer serperate unit approach.
