I OWN A PANNY
DMR HS2 DVD RECORDER,AND AM HAVING GREAT DIFFICULTY IN OBTAINING A PC CARD ADAPTOR.

I`VE TRIED PANASONIC CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT SONY AS I HAVE A SONY DIGITAL CAMERA!

ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

I would have thought any good pc shop or pc world ;) should have one.

By the way, although I don`t care some people concider writing in caps shouting and rude. So you may be best to drop the caps.

It is important and urgent to me as I have a s***load of holiday snaps that I would like to put on to my HDD.

I`ve tried PC World..no luck..and all the computer shops I`ve rung have been useless.

I would appreciate genuine responses to my question please!

From memory, I think the card adapter on the Panny is s PCMCIA (dunno which type though), but it`s a standard one of it`s type.

YOUR problem here isn`t the adapter for the panny, but that oh-so-superb company that I love so much again....

Yup, SONY! Again, because Sony think they are the world`s greatest at everything, they make a memory card format exclusive to themselves, then release no support to the third party developers, hence no add-ons like the card you seek.
(The logic is simple though, Sony would just say "Why would you want an adapter to link our memory card to your PC when you could just link the camera?" !?!?)

Anyways, some companies are now managing to add memory stick support to their printers and external readers, so be patient and you may get lucky soon.
If I read your post correctly though, you want a PC Card Sony memory stick adapter.

Found this on Dabs but have no idea if the HS2 can handle type II cards.

Thanks for the advice,the HS2 is only compatible with type 2 PC Cards.

Sorry guys, think the dabs product is a multi card reader that plugs into a parallel/usb port.

Think the OP needs a card convertor or adapter that`s pcmcia on one side and takes the other card as a plug in.

Sorry, but I haven`t found a product yet, but I`ll keep looking - I have a DME-100 with similar slots that I`m bound to need soon.... ;)
