Sky remote transmitter type senders

The Rebel (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 12th July 2004, 12:43

Can anyone recommend a wireless sender to allow me to transmit Sky channels to a TV in my rear bedroom. I have the usual type that runs up an aerial cable from the digibox to the remote sender in the front bedroom, but I would like a transmitter type rather than run another lead up from my lounge as it will only be used infrequently and I want to cut out anymore unnecessary cables.
Cheers

If you search for `wireless senders` on the site you`ll find lots of links about this that I found very helpfull. Plenty of options and plenty of opinions :D

I`ve just bought a cheapie from tesco for £39.97 and it`s fine, dodgy brand name but the boxes are neat enough and the units seem sturdy enough. Picture and sound are both fine and all the cables are included (the units have composite video and stereo left and right inputs which terminate at the TV as a scart plug). You can use a different cable to run from a composite output if you`re running short of scart sockets!

Do you connect the transmitter to your VCR or SKY DIGI BOX using the SCART lead provided?

Connect it to the scart on your Sky digibox to the transmitter.
The £29 :99 one from Maplins is excellent value, works a treat
