Has anyone tried(succesfully) to put the macrovision to off. Does it affect DVD playback and does it work!!!! I`ve heard that disabling it can cause problems Any help is mucho appreciated!!!

Nope .it don`t work. Mines been back to daewoo 3 times for software changes due to subtitles keep coming on as default and still no macrovision.

I am using a daewoo with macrovision set to off and multi-region. Caused a right fuss at the shop I bought it, as for the secret menu to be available and the hack to work you need to by a model built before August 2000 - the only one they had was the display model - so I took that, never had a problem with it, played everything I`ve thrown at it so far.
