Can the DMRE55 resume play?

dr john smith (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 1st June 2004, 15:29

I have just purchased a Panasonic DMRE55 and one of the features taht doesn`t seem to be available that I had on my DVD player is the ability to restart DVD-Video play from the point it was last stopped at. On my old player, you used to get asked if you wanted to resume from the previous position. Its rather frustrating having to enter via the nearest available chapter and fast forwarding to the correct point! Am I missing something? Thanks.

I`m almost positive the E55 has a `position memory` function that allows exactly what you require.
Check the manual.

Hi.
Page 3, in the manual, bottom left states, INSTANT RECORDING: You no longer need to search for empty disc space. By pressing the recording button, the unit finds available recording space and begins recording right away. There is no need to worry about overwriting already recorded content. end of quote.

Hope this helps. :)
