Can the DMRE55 resume play?

I have just purchased a Panasonic DMRE55 and one of the features taht doesn`t seem to be available that I had on my DVD player is the ability to restart DVD-Video play from the point it was last stopped at. On my old player, you used to get asked if you wanted to resume from the previous position. Its rather frustrating having to enter via the nearest available chapter and fast forwarding to the correct point! Am I missing something? Thanks.

Panasonic DVD Recorder - Can you?

I`m thinking of buying a DVD recorder. The Panasonic variety seems to have good reviews but I cannot seem to find out the following - is there a picture zoom feature (common on most DVD players but seemingly absent from recorders) and is there any PDC on the VideoPlus? Any input from current users very welcolm.... If not - does anyone know if any other manufacturers offer this functionality? Thanks in anticipation...
