Which for my first DVD player, Lecson vs Scan vs LG?

marc3 (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 19th March 2001, 12:21

I`m stuck

I have seen good reviews for the Lecson

I like the look of the Scan but it does appear abit buggy which makes me abit nervous,

or there is the LG 3350E from Dabs for £190 but it is a 1 - 2 week wait (is it worth the extra wait)

what do you all recommend your advice would be much appreciated.

Marc

I went for the Lecson, because you can go into debenhams and pick it up straight away, and if it goes wrong, you can take it back and shout at someone !

Nothing has gone wrong, and I am very happy with it. You also get a two year guarantee ...

I got the LG before the Xmas shortages. I`ve had no probs with it and would highly recommend it. I would say it was defintely worth the wait.

i would go for the lecson as it is a very good machine.i have had no problems with mine whatsoever.
it has very good picture and sound quality, loads of sockets at the back including 2 scarts ( useful for copying ) and also has an on board dolby digital decoder.
2 years free guarantee and surprisingly good service from debenhams.

go for it mate it`s sitting on the shelf waiting for you

i wouldn`t go for the scan due to the amount of postings in this forum and from what i can gather the lg seems a capable machine - it`s up to you.

hope this helps you
