Could any of you clever people let me know if the Yamada 6600 has a built in 5.1 decoder and if this dvd player is any good as iam thinking very hard on buying one for 70 quid.

:) Brillant machine Yamada 6600 played every thing that I have got on CD or DVD, even the wife likes it.... :D . Only want it now to be combined with a DVD recorder and it would be 110% more than one could dream of. Well worth the £70-£80. Maplin doing it for £79.99 but you can save a few £ if you search the web.
