Was at Comet in Edinburgh today (kinnaird park) and picked up Oceans 11 on BOGOF @ £12.90, no 1 copy restricton in place on it :)

RE: Friends dvds

Got my series 5 & 6 this morning, have oredered from splash many times and have found them to be tops :)

RE: Cheapest R2 version of E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial

I`ve ordered tons of dvds from play and the delivery times have spanned from 2 - 7 days, and are normally 4 or 5 days, yet I have ordered from most aussie sites and the delivery time is always 4-5 days.

RE: Friends cheap

I got seasons 1-4 from Strailia for £20 each, but this is tops for 5 + 6. Well done m8 :)

RE: COMET BOGOF - inc. Black Hawk Down

I got 2 BHD`s for 20 squid which imo for a tenner each is tops, considering play are 17 :)

And that was in comet at Maybury near the Gyle in Edinburgh.

RE: The new Alba 108 DVD Player at ARGOS (£69.99) is Multi-Region !!!!!!

(yes I know it`s Alba and the specs not great but it looks very nice and it`s as cheap as chips !!).

I would never pay £70 for chips.

RE: Monsters Inc - Oz or USA i.e. Region 4 or Region 1

Erm, good call aldo, how many people actually get these fantastic 1 day offers from Dixons etc(sold out of the 5 copies at branch within 2 mins)?????

The advantage to pre-ordering is so that some online companys can mass order on release of a huge movie hence getting mass order prices from the distributer, do u c :)

I ordered monster inc R1 from Futureent 5 months ago at what I reckoned to be a pretty bloody good £12.99 delivered.

RE: Chewin The Fat @ HMV

I got mine at HMV in the St James shopping centre in Edinburgh(opposite waverley train station) and Gazman got his at HMV on Princes Street Edinburgh.

They had quite a few left in these stores, so wing in ya pie.

He`s DVD mad that boy.

:)

RE: Chewin The Fat @ HMV

I would recommend grabbing some for any m8`s you know would like them.

RE: dirty harry £19.99 at woolies

RE: dirty harry £19.99 at woolies

I have apparently been allocated some goods also :)

Chewin The Fat @ HMV

chewin the fat series 1, 2 and 3 for £6.99 in store.

RE: dirty harry £19.99 at woolies

I ordered 2, 1 for myself and 1 for a colleague and on the day after the post, so i am wondering if they are holding back on multiple orders. Anyone else in this situation ??

RE: LG DVD 30000E

Choagy, I was 1 of silicons top customers back when they only had the small shop further up Dalry Road, and for a few years after, but when the chips are down they are dodgy. They get their stock direct from the far east which is why they are cheap. If in 6 years you have only had a problem with 1 item, then that would explain why you hold them in reasonable regard. Shop at Ideal Computing instead www.ideal-computing.co.uk, nice lads wit good prices. Also Silicon were being sued for a said some of £250,000 for software piracy from my very good friend Mr Bill Gates (knob) about 4 years ago although I am not sure of the outcome.

RE: LG DVD 30000E

Silicon are an edinburgh based computer component seller, and very dodgy at that, buy at your own risk.

RE: Silence of the Lambs SE for £8 for devoted

RE: Monsters Inc - £13!!!!

Well, I bought a dvd from dvd boxoffice, and the price on the site was fairly on the button, 15 pence out, s***e delivery times tho.

RE: What is the Cheapest DVD player around?

Grab yourself a Cyberhome AD-L 528, s00perb picture and plenty of goodies for future expansion. I am using the 5.1 outputs to my technics amp and it sounds magic. £99 multi region, mp3, vcd looks nice in silver.
Mummy Ultimate Edition was outstanding on all fronts.

RE: My DVDs arrived from Britannia this morning

They are a shambles, they sent me dvd`s constantly despite using their online service to reject them.
Outcome was a court order, with 30 admin fees!!
After 6 months I had to pay 30 squid for a dvd I didnt have, just to get them off my back, BEWARE, they dont have a clue.

RE: Seven R2 and scan sc-2000

I know the problem and its not good news :(

I had a Logix 3000 which used the same board and video decoder as the scan.

Not only did I have problems with Se7en, but 3 or 4 other disks. The player was 9 months old, so I contacted the manufacturere who acknoeledged the problem and duly depatched a new player(with updated decoder and mainboard) and picked up the old one.

try your luck with Scan
