Nivz you got the new tested firmware release from nelley yet.
I am hearing about 2.14 which still enables macro.
What happened to 2.13 (2.11 without macro)???

V2.14 has been released by the guy in France with all the firmwares on his site. He also supports Scan clones, so it could be firmware for a different player.
No official word from Nelley, but I doubt he`ll be at work until Monday. Meantime, the Macro is still enabled in 2.14 so I`m going to wait for Nelley`s officially tested release.

I think i will wait off too.
Nelley still plans to realease the update for 2.11? The update including macro off -is this correct?

He said he was going to release the next version (after V2.13 which didn`t work) this week, and it should be macro free and might even contain the long filenames for MP3`s it`s ready in time.

It is,i think, worth telling nelley of the reduction in picture quality the last couple of firmware releases have caused. Things in the background are not as sharp and still as they used to be. I have been using a mates machine as a comparison and there is a considerable difference before and after upgrade is aplied.
It isnt a huge difference by any means but it is worth noting i think.
Its good news about the new firmware coming soon as i need macro disabled and no blue shadows.Long file names are a bonus.
Hope the picture quality dosent degrade.

Maybe I jumped in a bit too quick using 214, I was under the impression the firmwares on the hdubois site were the `official` ones(as they probably are).Anyway it works fine for me.The picture quality has improved.Its not huge but its noticeable.It may be no more than returning the picture to its original quality as like you I think the last couple of firmwares have taken the edge off it.

I havent upgraded since i got mine and it is still running at v2.06- i am going to have to upgrade to 2.08 soon if the new version dosent disable macro.
I am pleased to hear the picture is good on v2.14 i hope this is a sign of things to come.

The long filenames shouild be with me by weekend.I will bundle it into one version and have it tested before i release itThis will solve shadow problem,gladiator disk 2 problem,and also give long mp3 filenames.I will test it with r2 disney disks and see if it has solved that problem. nilesh scan
