I`ve Just bought the 32" version, (32WD98).

This is the `mutts nuts` . I think its fantastic and so do the guys at `What Video` magazine. Dolby Digital - built in, is its main feature, which still seems to be quite rare. The only thing missing is a split screen, which allows tv pic one side, text other side - a feature which is quite common on other sets in this price bracket.

Do you really want only 28", or is this the most you can afford?

I personnally find 28" widescreen too small - seems only on a par to a 24" convential set!

Both sets have been out about a year now, but I get the impression Toshiba has no plans to update these at the moment, whereas they are introducing new vcr models and a dvd - the 110.

High street shops sell for arround £1200 for 32", which was prev £1400. Internet might be arround £1000. Also bear in mind certain department stores will usually give a 5yr gtee for free!

I bought from home shopping mail order catalogue with a 10 % discount, in addition to my 10 % commision. The price worked out at £972 with free delivery direct from Tosh. I also had 50 weeks to pay - interest free!

Hope this helps.

Costco is probably the cheapest place to buy. £787 incl VAT with a 3 year warranty FOC. This is with the Toshiba stand. Note when comparing most places in the magazine quote without the stand.

This tv is probably the biggest 28" tv in size you get, be warned, it just fitted into my car by bashing the box and had to be removed from the box to go through the door. All in all it was worth it and I am very pleased with it especially after getting the SCan dvd and using the digital audio link.

I just bought the 32WD9B 5 weeks ago and i love it, i went into the shop and saw both it and the 28" with a £300 price difference, i didnt know which to buy, but i looked at it in a way that i may regret not buying the 32" at a later stage, so i flashed the cash and brought it home. I had to borrow my brothers hatchback cavalier, put the back seats down and move the front seats forward to fit it in and it only just made it, wired it up to my SD100E put on Gone in 60 seconds and listened to the little kitties roar - it truelly is beautiful. I will warn you, if the room you are putting this in isnt too big then the 32" will be massive, i look at mine at the moment and all i can see is TV, but then - would u want it any other way ? They are a top class TV and good luck with whichever you buy

Trying to see if the 32 inch widescreen TV will first fit through the front doorway then through the living room doorway was alittle bit on the stressful side!.

Jessie,

I bought the TOSHIBA 28W8DB (the pro-logic version) with the "luxury" stand (Toshiba ship 2, one with glass door, 1 without) for £469. I didn`t think the slightly flatter screen and higher refresh rate were worth paying all that extra for, and figured that when I wanted Dolby digital I`d buy a separate amp and speakers.
