Hi all...

I am keen to know if there are any reviews for this machine. I cant find any. Does anyone know where i can get hold of one?? Or does anyone have one??

I would like to know how this compares with the Toshiba SD 330 in particular.

Thanks,

Zak

Updated DV350, which got good reviews.
I`ll sell you a multiregion 454 for £90 o.v.n.o (free uk delivery) ?
As new, boxed.Only a few months old.Lucky if it`s been used once a week (you try watching DVD`s with a 4 month old baby...)
Higher spec machine.
Quick glance of the spec differences says that the 454 will play -R discs, whereas the 360 won`t,for example.
Check out pioneer.co.uk for full rundown of differences.
Give me a shout if interested.

According to the description on the website, it will.

Imagine a hand facing you, palm towards you
" Whateverrrrrrrrrrrrrr "
I can`t be arsed looking for the differences in the spec, but there must be some as they`re both current models, and the 454 is considered higher spec.
But thanks for playing website ref MikeG. :/

It looks like the DV454 has also been upgraded/replaced with a DV464. Main difference on the newer models seems to be that they handle JPEG viewing and playback WMA as well as MP3. The DV360 also has optical output, that the DV350 didn`t. Multiregion DV360 is available from Amazon for £89.99 inc delivery; multiregion DV464 is £114.99 inc delivery from amazon as well. The DV350 and DV454 were both highly reviewed so no reason to expect the DV360/DV464 to be any different. Not sure how they compare to the Toshiba, but I have the DV350 and it performs very well.

Well I can`t actually confirm that the DV360 handles JPEG and WMA, but according to the Pioneer website it does - see DV360 spec

Just to explain about Pioneer players!

The DV454 is a much better cd player! Pioneer were obviously a hi-fi company before the world of home cinema and dvd players. So the extra you pay for this machine is for the hi-fi quality!

It has a feature called burr-brown in it, this a DAC, digital to analogue converter!
This little chip will give better cd playback.

The previous model dv-444 was a cracking machine with noticable cd playback quality.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if there is a hack to disable macrovision copy protection on this baby (Pioneer DV464)?
I`ve got Scan 2500C (? I think it`s the 2500) and that plays anything shiny and disables MV - but we`ve lost the remote - argghhhhhh! Totaly useless without it.
Many many fank yous :D
