The KiSS DP-500 DVD Player is based on the latest technology in the field and is the first DVD player in the world to offer an Ethernet connection compatibility with DivX video technology.

The DP-500 introduces a series of new features including playback of videos encoded in DivX versions 4 and 5, and a new Ethernet 10/100 connection. The Ethernet connection will soon be used for a range of new functions, including Internet radio and PC connectivity for music files, pictures and video material.

The KiSS DP-500, manufactured and designed in Scandinavia, was designed to provide consumers with the highest-quality picture and sound.

Progressive Scan
KiSS DP-500 progressive scan DVD player, will provide you with the best quality ever, when watching a video. Progressive Scan creates a picture signal with double the scan lines of a conventional DVD, resulting in higher picture resolution and sharper image quality. KiSS DVD Player will maximize your listening and viewing experience to a much higher level. The digital quality, smooth pictures, surround sound, zoom and still picture function will enhance the enjoyment, and everything will be available from your armchair simply by using the remote control.

Music CD and MP3
KiSS DP-500 can playback both the ordinary music CD`s and those, which are using MP3 files, will be thrilled by the easy interface with all the information available.

ISO MPEG-4 and DivX (Ver. 4 & 5)
ISO MPEG-4 and DivX are very well known formats on the Internet. The format gives you a high picture and sound quality, which comes very close to the quality of a DVD movie.

a friend of mines got one and he likes it, especialy the ethernet connection as he just hooks it up to his pc and the kiss player converts it to pal 50 no probs, converting it to multi region however is another thing, the only way to do it is to remove the dvd drive from the machine and fit it into your pc then flash the firmware, tho i`m not sure if my friends is the same model (think it`s the 550, it also plays xvid)

if you look on ebay. we have a elta 8892. which is the same as the kiss without the ethernet connection, cost £160.00. is a good player of all files. you can update the firm ware from their web site, and it can be made all region. also you can turn the macrovision off.
