They work. It`s less easy than you think to find a machine that has a macro off feature.

yes they do work, i have a macro buster, from. www.gametech.co.uk
it cost £29.99. it also can be used to tape sky box office movies and special events. it is like a scart lead with a plug in mains adapter at one end

We have a mac master lead that we bought from Innovations, which we used to use with a tv that no scart, so we had to run the dvd thru` the vhs. We found that on certain dvds it affected the sound quality, ie there was a distinct background buzz, which was quite annoying. If I remember rightly American Pie 2 was the worst, but there were others. The picture however was fine.

I also bought some Macro Master leads from innovations, and found they work brilliantly, haven`t yet had a problem.

I`ve used a macro buster box from lektropacks to great affect with my Proline 1000 going to my Panny E30. However it doesn`t work when playing from my Panny RA82 to the E30, so the player you use is partly responsible whether the lead/box will work. Don`t know why this is. Anybody?

"Don`t know why this is. Anybody?"

The Panny E30 is a DVD recorder, isn`t it? Macrovision only affects copying to VHS tape.

If you`re recording to a DVD recorder, you need a box which will remove CGMS/A copy protection. A standard Macro removal box isn`t suitable.

To repeat, this box does remove the protection when playing in my Proline to the E30 but doesn`t seem to work when playing in the RA82 so there is something different going on with the players.
