ALLRIGHT, SERIOUSLY a downside to the Aiwa

Jimbo :oÞ (Elite Donator) posted this on Friday, 15th December 2000, 00:54

Well, it isn`t much of a problem, but it`s one thing I woulda liked to work.

(suppose this should really be in software, but it`s a hardware problem)

ID4 Special edition: The easter egg.

Code? 7-4-enter (read seventy four and enter)
The Aiwa doesn`t allow selecting above ten directly on the numerical keypad. No +10 option either! :o(

This means any "Easter Eggs" using similar codes will NOT be accesible to this player!

oh well..

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS...but not for Easter Egss!

I`ve had a quick look at some remote pictures for about a dozen players and so far the only one I`ve seen WITH a +10 button is a Toshiba.

Surely then, there must be another way of accessing these features.

I expect you have tried pressing them in quick succession? That would normally do the trick. Surely there must be a way as most CDs have >10 tracks.

Tried the lot Troll, even 7 presses of the "0" key..no go!

Quick presses, press then enter, you name it mate!
No way to get a direct entry of "74"

:o(

And shuddup Duke! :oÞ
(LOL)

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS...except for high number eggs!

Its not the remote Lievn, its the main unit.

The unit displays "07" when you hit 7, and "04" when 4 is pressed. I think you know what I mean (Philips and Sony TV`s a good example on channel change) of when you hit " 7 & 4 " and the unit jumps to track or channel 74, this is what`s supposed to happen with the Egg.

if anyone DOES discover a way, I`m all ears...!

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!

I`ve been playing with this one Jimbo and it appears that you can only enter a valid Chapter/Track number. Therefore if the feature has 28 chapters you can enter 28 but not 29.

Ah well never mind, it`s a bit of a crap film anyway.
