I have the DVD player (LG DVD4950) connected via Coaxial cable to the receiver (Kenwood KRFV5050) but I can`t get DTS. They both have the logo on them, but I can`t switch to DTS, I can get Dolby Digital, Pro Logic, and Stereo but DTS isn`t on. I think that it may output the DTS out through the optical output, but I`m not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

Is the disc your playing got the dts symbol on it?i think dts will only work with a dts disc.hope that helps

You need the optical cable connected and you need to select DTS from the audio menu on the dvd.
