JVC and phillips do one.About £699 from www.prc-hifi.co.uk.There is nothing like DHVS recordings. You will not be able to tell the difference between a recording and the real thing. On a 420 tape you get 7 hours of high quality playback. When using long play dvhs you get 21 hours on a tape. Its also downward compatible with SVHS and normal vhs as well.In my opinion after dvd one of the best inventions to come out in the last five years.Tapes can be price at about £12 plus but the quality of recordings
is outstanding. In the states DVHS is the only format so far that can record HIGH-DEFINTION tv.

I`d always thought DVDs would be around for years...
Is there any reason why these DVHS things won`t be able to compete with DVDs?
Or should I start saving up? :P

Sorry the link was www.prcdirect.co.uk.DVDS are here to stay but DVHS
will give it a run for the money especially in the states where it is the only platform that can record HD TV.
