£80 too cheap - spend £99 and get the Dansai from Tesco. Its got 5.1outs, optical and s-video, and its easy to hack to multiregion via the remote. The hack isn`t on here though, I found it at the Dansai site!
It`s got zoom and trick play and all in all is much more satisfying than the top level Sony I was given a year or so ago. Its also v slim and silver. Enjoy.

.Another £9-00 will get you a MICO. This is the only player to be recommended in this price bracket. Region hacks & will play SVCDs VCDs DVDs MP3s with no lip sink problems, the only one I have tried that does. It feels a lot dearer & is part Panasonic. Problem is getting one; they are only sold in the Larger Sainsburys
