RE: fancy a nice ruby murray... whilst watching your favourite dvd?

There are only a few items that you need most times cooking a basic/basic-tarted up curry:

Whole Cumin Seeds (you don`t need Cumin Powder as you can grind the seeds)
Chilli Powder
Turmeric Powder
Cardamom Pods
Paprika Powder
Garam Masala
Whole Black Pepper
Dried Red Chillies
you may as well get a small, fresh piece of ginger.

everything else you will probably use very rarely, if at all.

RE: WHARFEDALE M5 BLEW UP

Saxton, can you recommend somewhere where it could be fixed? Do Maplin do repairs? Or would a bog-standard electrician be able to do it?

RE: WHARFEDALE M5 BLEW UP

UPDATE:

Have replaced the mini fuse and plug fuse. The mini gets blown straight away. I`ve replaced it three times with the same result.

I think it`s scrap but if anyone has any sincere advice then please post it.

RE: WHARFEDALE M5 BLEW UP

Thanks guys, have got the dvd out, so that`s something.

Saxton, I assumed that the flash and the bang came from the fuse, when it blew? I can`t see any evidence of any other part being visibly damaged. I guess I`ll just have to get a replacement fuse and see what happens.

RE: WHARFEDALE M5 BLEW UP

plug it in where? At the back or do I need to open the PC up?

WHARFEDALE M5 BLEW UP

Put DVD in. Flash. Bang. Player dead. Change plug fuse. Open up and, a ha!, a tiny fuse on one of the circuit boards has burn out.

1. Has this happened to anyone else?
2. Where can I get a mini-fuse from? B&Q?
3. How do you get the DVD out when there is no power?

RE: Argos DVD sale - Futurama Season 1 £12.99

Pete_L , a load of people were refunded yesterday but no-one had been re-charged. The thought was that Argos may be waiting until their deadline date of the 10th before they start recharging people for the £12.99.

Queries don`t appear to be being addressed, other than saying that the order will be fulfilled.

hope that helps

hack Thomson 24WT25UG combo?

There is a multiregion hack for the Thomson 24WT25UG combo, or a similar model, floating around.

Has anyone used it?

Have you encountered any problems with the hack?

RE: Stocktaking Sale at EZYDVD on Wednesday

Gud day.

EZYDVD appear to be based in Southern Australia which would make the time there now at... 7.09am.

Here`s a link to check the time in Aus at any time.

Who`s gonna be brave enough to stay up late to buy DVDs and then get up early for the England game?

What is the problem with flipper discs?

Just picked up some cheap DVDs and some are `flippers`. A lot of people seem to indicate flipper discs are a bad thing. If you have a film on one side and the extras on the other then what`s the problem?

RE: Predator £12.99 delivered

What`s a digipack?

RE: EzyDvd Customers

I wouldn`t give them any of those things. I would diplomatically say do they want your custom or not? Arrange to send a cheque, if it`s still a problem. Or speak to a different person there to make sure the advisor isn`t pulling a fast one. Although, in theory they`ve already got your credit card details so could do you anyway.

RE: Coen Brothers Book

Appears to be £8.09 a whopping 90p of the RRP price

RE: Wot no bargins?...

Which part of thedvdforums has the bargains. All I can see on the `DVD and Movie Forum` is a load of different threads about general movie discussion. And on the `Supplier Forum` I found desperate questions like this: Does anyone know where I could buy a Neutradol Car Air Freshener refill online? Do you have to wade through all that crap to find the cheap finds on that part of the site?

RE: Safe Door £5 Voucher

Smile voucher

RE: DVD Crave : mid-year sale + another 15% off

What`s a safe-ish customs limit?

Check out the Rocky S:E. cover sleeve. I don`t remember Nicholas Cage being in but at that price who cares ;)

RE: Goodfellas £7.99 (or £2.99 with Safe Door Voucher)

£7.99 is a pretty standard price for Goodfellas. I signed up with Safe Door last week and picked up The Usual Suspects: SE (Region 1) for £7.99 (including the £5 voucher). I think when it comes out here in a few weeks it is £22. Both top notch movies however.

RE: Collectors Edition DVDs £9.99 @ dvdstreet

It looks like it`s another version of the MVC site.

RE: £3.99 - £9.99 bargin pc world dvds
