What 505 do you have?
Is it the European DV-P505E or the North American DV-P505U?
also use the menu hack and tell me what version your firmware is(ie 0123)?
How long ago did you buy it?
I simply burn selected files using Write2CD, pop it in the player and they play:-)

When you play an mp3 the track and the timer appears in the LCD, but you can not hear it?
forgive me for being a bit insulting but do you press enter on the selcted track?

When I press on enter it just start to play tarck number one for 2 sec then nymber two for 2 sec all of the tracks play like that it just count down the track by stoping for 2-3 sec on each of them and I cant hear anything.
That is weird.
Try burning different Mp3 files to a new CD and try again.
