1.Put the player into standby mode on the remote control
2.Press the number button on the remote controle corresponding to the region you whis to
select press 1 for region 1 .2 for region 2 you may also try 0 for region free.
Respond if it works.

Hitachi can not play tarzan if the iclandic language is put on.I have try many player (7 player)and they where fine.

Great news for the Samsung 709 owners amongst you, a new hack has been found that doesn`t require you o get hold of a different remote. That`s right, using nothing but the mighty power of the 709`s own remote, you can make your player region and macrovision free!
Well then, on with the show, to make your player multi-region follow these instructions:
Remove any discs from the tray
Push the `Repeat` button on your remote
Using the remote, enter 3, 8, 7, 6, 7
`02` should appear on your screen indicating the current region
Push the number on your remote corresponding to the region you wish to select or push `9` for region free
Push `Open/Close` on your player
Push the red `DVD` button on your remote
Play your DVDs

The fu... pichtur was not ok and I bought philips 951 for the same price much bettttter pichture.I sendid to Ironduke because he have defended like he inventid the fu.... player.I wrodid here so other can see it before they buy one .And I´m only talking about 505E.Hitachi 505E SUCKS!!!!!!!!

They Macrovision in the loophole is on auto it dont show any other possibility can I change it to on or off.

When I press on enter it just start to play tarck number one for 2 sec then nymber two for 2 sec all of the tracks play like that it just count down the track by stoping for 2-3 sec on each of them and I cant hear anything.

It says SWO.123. When I put the cd in it says there is a mp3 cd in the player but I cant play it .Dvd player simply count down the tracks and there is no sound whit it.

I thing it is Europen iam from iceland(sorry for the spelling)and the player is 2 monhts old.The version in the loopholes is 2,20.I burnd the mp3 files as data cd .

To convert this player to Multi-Region
1. Press the Stop button on your remote control
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the Still/Step button on your remote control
4. Press the 1 button on your remote control
5. Press the 2 button on your remote control
6. Press the 3 button on your remote control
7. You will now enter the hidden setup page, and can change the player to any Region or set it to Region Free. You can also disable Macrovision from this menu
