Someone please help!! i`m after a hack to make the xbox add-on HD DVD player region free is this possible if so does anyone know how to do it. thanks.

HD DVD`s are region free, you dont need to hack the player.
only settle for metal

ancient mariner beat me to it. No regions at all on HD DVD, which is possibly one of the major reasons why they have failed in the HD War!

i still dont understand fully are the dvds region free or the players i`m asking because i`ve seen dvds advertised as region 1 and as region 2 on ebay and other sites are the HD dvds know region locked or have the people selling theme just made a mistake. thanks Also if anyone knows of a web site where i can get some good info on the subject that would be great. Thanks in advance for any Help!

HD-DVDs (the discs) are all region free.
Standard DVDs are region coded. Are you trying to play standard DVDs in the drive? If that is the case, then it would seem that there is a firmware hack available to make the drive region free for standard DVDs.
Try googling. I couldn`t find a decent enough site to link you to, but wikipedia has a lot of info.

360 HD-DVD drives will play only the region of the 360 that they are attached to. This will not affect the HD-DVDs as they are region free but it will affect region encoded DVDs.
If you had a US 360 and a UK add on drive then that will be locked for US (R1) DVD playback and vice versa.
Is that the time? Damn you Xbox 360!!!!
