Page 1 of Help please!!!

i Have a Matsui 110 and after following the instructions for a hack to enable me to play any DVD from any region i have found that it has worked BUTTTT all region 1 DVD`s are in black and white.please help me if you can.

check and see if you have 2 scart sockets on the tv and change them over

I have the same problem with my Pioneer NV-55 system which has been mod chipped.

Strangely when I took my system to my mates house, it worked fine on his TV through a composite video (and separately with an S-Video) input.

My TVs at home have either SCART or RF, no composite nor s-video. I wonder if my problem relates to the cable from the output from the dvd player which is composite or s-video, going to the SCART TV.

I have not got round to getting a stupidly expensive cable (ie 20 GBP one) with all the pins connected and see if that works.

i have had a look and i only have one scart socket.

Are you sure your TV is capable of receiving an NTSC signal? If not you need a newTV.

thanks for the help i have got a new tv and i didn`t think about using the other scart sockets so i have swapped the tv`s around and it works fine. once again thanks very much for the help

Alan, just curious, what TV did you get? size? model? widescreen? price?
and is it NTSC compatable? Sorry I`m not being nosey, I`m on the lookout for a new TV and not sure what to get!

no problem it is a Hitachi c28wf535n 28" widesscreen and it cost £800 it has the digital 3ds setup and is not to bad. if you want any more drop me a line.
