Page 1 of Hitachi DVP250E-where do I get a disc from?

I`ve heard and also read that it is possible to make this player multi-region using a cd. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one, or do I need to get a chip fitted instead? Any help appreciated.

They almost certainly didn`t.

Its probably version 1.115 which has problems with RCE and also problems with some discs (Matrix). The firmware is actually for the DV-P2,DV-K2,DVD-1100H.

Copies of that disc have been around for a good few months - someone on this web site was offering it at one point.

As to disassembling the file...its not too hard with the right tools (as was the 505) ;-)

and go from there...

I have a DVP250-E
I would love to make it multiregion but I am worried about these discs being offered can you advise me on the best route. I was told that there is new coding on dvd discs that will recognise an upgrade and not play them because of it.
HELP!!!!

Do a search for Hitachi (Afficher).

It`s translated from french, so some wordings are a bit off..

It`s version 1.115 which seems to be the only one out there at the moment so expect not to be able to play RCE discs.
