Page 1 of Any Hack For LG3200E

Lo all,

Any hack available for the LG 3200E, I have just bought this and have got several U.S. DvD`s and im unable to play em (yes im new to the DVD stuff).

All help will be appreciated...


P.S.
is there some sort of code i can put in for it to enable the playing of VCD`s, MP3`s and region 1 films..?

In simple terms NO.

LG 3200E only plays region 2 DVD`s.

If you want to play your US DVD`s your`ll have to buy a multi region DVD i.e. Mico, Eclipse.

Samsung`s can be programed via a AIWA remote controller to turn it into a multi region..........

That`s about all I know, read some of the threads and either sell your DVD`s or DVD player !

Slim, before you do anything rash, check http://www.techtronics.com or similar sites, eg dvdupgrade, upgrade heaven.

There MAY be a modification you can do at home (if, unlike me, handy with a soldering iron) or have done to your player if you send it away.

The players Vern refers to have as, he points out, been slated in one way, shape or form, by purchasers and non-purchasers alike on this forum. Depends what you want from the player. Read the hardware forum and the general forum threads especially.

The Eclipse may seem like a Richer Sound special but it is relatively unknown......

These players can be moded but is quite dear

Thanks all to who have replied to my help...

I have been to that webby (www.dvdupgrade.com) but as it seems this DVD player needs to be upgraded with a chip as there are no remote hacks for it....I did stumble across 1 site that seemed possitive but i frowned as i read that it needed the chip fitting : (

Well must dash, to see about the chip but i fall into another big hole as i have no damn credit card..grrrrrrrrr

Keep ya fingers crossed for me as i will venture on too see what can be done...

Right then.

I have been doing aa bit of surfing here and found one that MAY or MAY NOT work.

Some geezer said that this hack worked on his but was unsure how long it lasted.

POWER ON PLAYER WITH NO DVD IN TRAY
PRESS PAUSE
KEY IN 314159(THE DISPLAY SHOULD THEN SHOW CODE 00)
SELECT 0 FOR MULTI REGION
PRESS PAUSE
POWER OFF DVD PLAYER FOR A SHORT PERIOD.

IT SHOULD THEN WORK.

I can`t try this on mine till XMAS but if someone wants to give it a try go right ahead and Post a reply if it works.

I have just tried this out Techie Freak and it worked perfectly on my LG 3200E that I bought last week.

Thanks for letting me know.

Can`t wait till xmas now to try it out on mine. Remember though that there is a chance it may only be short term fix so keep posting and I will keep checking.
