Lo m8,

It will still show R2 m8 ans even if u set the region to R1 and put a R2 disc in it will still play the R2 when its set in R1 mode...

Get a R1 disc off some 1 and give it a try....

Yeah i remember seing that thread aswell...it went sunfin like this...

Praises to LG...blah blah blah......LOL

All in all he said that he had probs with the LG and he phoned LG up and they gave him another number to ring and they replaced his Player for him and he was well pleased and he never had trouble with it again...(so he says)

What code did u enter to get the firmware up on screen, i have done it b4 but i have forgoten it LOL

I have the same player and the remote hack works fine on mine so post the firmware revision code and i`ll post my results and see if they match urs..

i cant find the thread that gives the code to check the firmware the 1 used for the LG3350 and maybe the AIWA is the same for the LG3200E as i tried it when i saw the thread...

But cant find it anywhere (i must start to click the read button)

Yeah it worked fine on mine, had no probs at all..

R u doin the hack properly??

Maybe u have a differnt firmware than mine has???

Theres a thread somewhere on ere that tells u haw to get the firmware up on screen, i`ll try and find it and put up what i get on mine and u can see if its the same as urs and if it is, the hack shud work!!

Back shortly and will edit this post with the results..

I have LG3200E and did this remote hack and it works on mine and also the AIWA370.

Turn player to stand by

Then power up with no disc in

Press pause on remote

Enter 314159

Then the word "CoDe" appear on player screen

Enter the regoin u want ie..0 for mutli region, 1 for us 2 for Uk/eurpoe..etc

Press pause

Turn to stand by again and wait a few seconds

Then power back up

And it may work

If it hasnt worked it will be due to firmware and will need to be modded


Note....Not all LG players are remote hackable..

Not having a go at cha, but i h8 to see peeps just wasting there money, my moto (try b4 ya buy) and thats wot i did, coz i was seriously gona pay out £89 exc VAT to techtronics to get my Player Mutli region...and my god im glad i waited....

I even sent them fookers an email as i think they was rippin peeps off BIG FASION!!!!

Steve, straight out of the box m8 had the player for a few weeks and posted up askin for a hack then after a few weeks saw the hack for the 3350 so i tried it for mine and it worked, so it hasnt een modified in a ny way as it is a brand new player "straight outa da box"

Steve m8 sorry but ur wrong pall, i have an LG 3200E and i have used the same hack for the LG3350E/AIWA 370 and it works perfectly.

I have played all my R1 films using that hack (maybe not all LG`s are remote hackable)

Method:

Power up no disc in drive

Press pause

Enter 314159

Display show COde:

Enter region number (1=US, 2=UK/europe..etc...)

Press pause

Power off and wait a few secs

Power on and away u go

But as i said maybe not all LG DVD players are remote hackable

I dont have this player but it seems that what is done for the AIWA 370 and the LG3350 is the same for my player LG3200E....and i would like to disable macrovision..

I have the same player and to enable it to be mutli region do this m8

1. Power on with no disc in it
2. Press pause
3. Enter 314159 (display shows code)
4. Enter the region u want the player to play (ie..0=multi regoin, 1=us, 2=uk...etc..)
5. Press pause again to finalise the procedure
6. Power off wait a few seconds the power back up and away u go, u now have a multi region player

There is no macrovision disablement on this model as i know of, but still u can have all the delight of playing any region DVD`s that u care to watch : )

It has to be the one peeps are rantin `n` ravin about at the moment and thats the AIWA 370 its multi region and plays VCD`s, DVD`s, CDR, CDRW, MP3 (maybe?-not to sure on that)

And all that for the loverly price of £199 - super - smashin` - GREAT : )
They prolly chuck in ya Buss Fare Home too...hehehe

Hope that helps as im sure other replys in here will prolly tell ya the same..I havnt got one as YET! only coz im a skinflint (poor basta) and im makin do wif me LG3200E which is now multi region tanks to me good m8 Jimbo :op

Ya ill check dat liddle muva out, me m8 shud have those so ill ask him coz he has a plethera of DVD`s (R1`s `n` R2`s) so fingers crossed he has em...

Jimbo tell me if my player will play VCD`s ive tried but it dont as i previously stated...What does it need sum sort of firmware upgrade..?
And i think that techtronics are way way rippin peeps off BIG FASSION!
as i was gona take mine in to there and get sorted, i even emailed them first to ask if mine would do the press 1 then switch off then switch on and its on R1 method, but they said if it wasnt from them it would prolly not do it..(the liars)
And to the guy who was askin if ne 1 elses LG plays R2 disks when its set to R1, mines does exactly that...

No it dont play VCD`s it just says Disk Error and spits it back out, well not to bother i only got filth on VCD anyways and i can watch them on me PC :p

LO there,

I have an LG 3200E and have tried this code but it says "check regional code" on the screen, is there a differnt code to put in for this model..???
Or have i done sumfin wrong...?

This is wot i did powered up with no disc in and pressed pause then typed 314159 and then pressed number 1 when it said code on the front of the dvd player then powered off and waited for about 10 secs then powered up and put the regoin 1 disc in and the rest is at the top of this reply....
