Page 1 of Problem with remote hack for Oritron 600

Hi.

A friend of mine applied the following remote hack for the Oritron 600 dvd player...

Press [MENU]
Press 1
Press 6
Press 7
Then press region number (1-6) or MUTE for ALL

... from the multi region hacks page in the info section. It worked, but whatever region dvd she wants to watch now only plays in black & white.

Any ideas why this is happening ? The dvd is connected to the television by a scart lead, just incase that matters :-)

im not sure but it tv aspest make sure the dvd option set to auto!

NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE CAN ANY ONE HELP THANKS

I have recently bought this same DVD and have found the same problems. Have you found a solution yet? If so, could you tell me it?

To change region on this machine:
Ensure the tray is empty
Press `Menu`
Press `9`
Press `Open/Close`
Press `5`
`Region 1 - 6` should be displayed on screen
Enter Region code
Press `Mute`
If the above fails, try this combination.
Close the drawer with no disc in it
Press Menu
Press 1
Press 6
Press 7
Enter region (1 - 6) or press MUTE for ALL regions
Press Exit

AT LAST WE CAN PLAY ALL REGIONS .

IF YOU PUT ALL OF THE ABOVE IN IT WORKS PERFACT
