Problem with remote hack for Oritron 600

Hi.

A friend of mine applied the following remote hack for the Oritron 600 dvd player...

Press [MENU]
Press 1
Press 6
Press 7
Then press region number (1-6) or MUTE for ALL

... from the multi region hacks page in the info section. It worked, but whatever region dvd she wants to watch now only plays in black & white.

Any ideas why this is happening ? The dvd is connected to the television by a scart lead, just incase that matters :-)
