try this

. Press the Setup button on your remote control
2. Press the Stop button on the front panel of your unit
3. Press the Previous button on the front panel of your unit
4. Press the Next button on the front panel of your unit
5. You should now be in a secret menu where you can change the region from 1 to 6, or Bypass for region free
6. You can also disable Macrovision from this menu

do the following:

Insert a DVD
Press Stop
Press Bookmark
Press Menu
Press 5, 9, 7 then Exit

i had this player but took it back and got my money back ,would only play vcds burned with princo discs , then went and got myself a dansai 852 from tesco £99 plays everything thing u throw at it and macro ,region hacks in seconds

could not be assed to do that ,was not that impressed with it anyway so got my money back,heard dansai is better so might get one of those and they are cheaper

think u find all these players are the same and macrovision is a protection that stops u copying them to vhs

ok this player seems to go under loads of different names -matsui, goodmans, crown ,oritron amongst others .now i have read that there is a hack to turn off macro but can`t find it anywhere,can anyone help .might be a job for admins
