Wharfedale 750s region 1 hack

keiran (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 16th October 2000, 13:12

Hi! Can anyone help me? I bought a wharfedale 750s last week and tried the hack advertised in various mags, but this seems to be for the Wharfedale 750 and not the 750s. I tried opening the tray inseting a region 1 disk but not closing the tray, pressing 0123 on the remote and then play on the remote. Are there any others as this doesn`t work with the 750s. Please, please help!!!

Failing that try November issue of Total DVD - they`ve done Hack Attack II...

Janine - either try the Hardware forum on this site, or try the November edition of Total DVD under hack attack - I seem to recall it involves pressing, amongst others, A-B buttons or something....wibblewibblewibble....

Hi Mark,

I`ve just purchased what I guess is the very latest 750s (at least in terms of its firmware) because the multi-region hack on your hack page doesn`t work for my 750s.

The MR hack that worked for me was :

STEP, PREVIOUS, NEXT

Then the `Region Free` message appears.

I then tried the RCE hack to region 1, which is listed as:

open disc drawer
press 1,1,1,1 then press number of required region.

This doesn`t work either, the machine just ignores it !!!

Any ideas, is this a new firmware revision causing this and if so does anybody out there have the new hack if such a thing exists.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

Thanks

Chris

Chris,

I`m having the same problem.... but at leased I can now make it multi region. Thanks to you. Would Still like to know if each region could be selected as well.

Thanks,

Matt
